This unique little spot sits on top of old railroad tracks on the west side of Manhattan.The High Line tracks were originally constructed in the 1930s, to lift dangerous freight trains off Manhattan’s streets.The park has a different feel from most parks in New York City partially because it doesn’t just sit on the ground level, which allows for nice views of the area and the Hudson river. Along with having a stroll through the park and enjoying the views, you can also enjoy events such as star gazing and fitness classes.
